Welcome to Koh Chang in Trat Province of Southeast Thailand!
Koh Chang- new tropical eco-tourism destination with clean beaches, islands, virgin forest scenery, quiet ambience of nature and mouth watering delicious seafood awaits your visit.
Koh Chang Island Featuring Cliff Beach Resort:

Koh Chang Island
Chang Island is Thailand's second largest island after Phuket; it
is only 8kms off the coast of Trat province in southeast Thailand, the
kingdom's most easterly province. Koh Chang is part of the larger Koh
Chang National Park comprising of an archipelago of 52 islands, some small
islets and some larger islands such as Koh Kut, Koh Mak and Koh Kradat,
where simple bungalow accommodation are found. Being a marine national
park, Koh Chang was kept off limits to mass tourism and escaped commercial
development like other islands. It is a place to get away and enjoy peaceful
vacation in the nature. There are many secluded beaches and bays surrounded
in tropical splendor. This may be Thailand's last untouched tropical paradise,
a place for the perfect and peaceful holiday. Its lush unspoiled tropical
forests, clean sandy beaches, clear waters to swim and quiet atmosphere
in the ambience of nature offers visitors the most enchanting experience
of travel in the unspoiled nature off the beaten tracks.
The island attraction is its collection of white sand coves. Almost
two thirds of the island is a mountainous tropical forest. Few people
live on Koh Chang, and there are virtually no proper roads. The only transport
around the island is by shared songtaew (two bench seated pick up) traveling
on bumpy roads.
Activities on Koh Chang:
Koh Chang is a great place for those of you who love outdoors. There
are many fun activities you can do here such as scuba diving, snorkeling,
trekking on the clean sandy beaches and lush tropical forests with scenic
trails,
sea kayaking, and swimming. Be small kids or adults looking for fun, there
are banana boats and easy kayak nearby the beach.
Climate:
Koh Chang is the ideal location for the real rest as the weather
there is very comfortable with the average temperature not too cold or
too hot. Ko Chang is influenced by the northeastern and southwestern storms.
That triggers limitations to the water transportation to the group of
islands. Between May and October, which is the period of southwestern
monsoons, the west coast is always visited by storms and thus, not safe
for ferryboats. Between November to April is very safe to travel. Most
of Trat areas lie in the Gulf of Thailand. This makes the province abundant
with tourism resources. Trat has as many as 52 islands, especially Ko
Chang include sea, waterfalls, and forests. The province is also the source
of red sapphire, fine shrimp paste and sweet Ra-Kum, a kind of palm of
genus Malacca with sweet and acid taste.
Koh Chang is the second biggest to Phuket. The island occupies 429 square
kilometers. Koh Chang has plenty of high mountains and cliffs. The highest
mountain is Salak Petch Peak (744 meters), the second and the third are
Chomprasat and Khao Hom respectively. Koh Chang’s abundant virgin
forest covered mountains are the water sources of the island and has many
waterfalls. Other places of interests around Koh Chang include Koh Noi.
Travel to Other Islands:
Most visitors come to Amphoe Laem Ngob, where there are 3 piers
namely Laem Ngob and Koh Chang Centre Point, offering daily boat services
to islands such as Koh Mak, Koh Wai, and Koh Kham.
Koh Chang is very popular among visitors. Situated in the nearest distance
from Laem Ngob pier, it takes 1 hour to reach the desired destinations
on Koh Chang. The best season to visit the islands is between October
and May. During the rainy season from May to October, visitors are not
allowed to the islands south of Koh Chang; for example, Koh Kut, Koh Mak,
Koh wai, and Koh Kham. The boat trip to Koh Chang can be made all year
round. In the rainy season, a boat will sail along the inner coast of
Koh Chang because the island's long and large mountain like shape provides
shelter from sea winds and waves.

and calm seaside, and is cool and shady because it has plenty of coconuts
